Thanksgiving 09

Turkey, ham, pumpkin pie, family, Cougs winning, quality time together= one busy and fun Thanksgiving. We spent Wed-Fri. with the Halls. We were REALLY excited for Alissa and Maren to get to play together. They were so cute with eachother.
Mark and Barbara took us out to the Oquirrh Hills temple to walk around. It was freezing and windy, but was really neat to see it. There were cute neighborhoods right across the street, and we thought it would be so cool to have a house a block away from the temple!

Here's Andy playing with his bro's Iphone. As you can see, I'm less than thrilled that is sucks people into a trance!

We got to go around the table and say what we're grateful for. Also, Andy had fun entertaining the kids while they waited for food to be served for them!
Last but cutest of all....the grandkids:) I'm holding Maren up behind the couch bc she got a little nervous with all the bunch. She warmed up though, and it was so fun to see them interact with her!

Thanks for a wonderful Thanksgiving. We'll post Iverson picts. later;)

Hello again...

We've had a good past few weeks. The following is some catching up on things..The above pict. is a concert in the park they did one day in the summer. The singer travels around southern California and performs kids concerts. It was really cool!
This is an older picture of Maren. While she was going through the stage of not wanting a bottle, we would go to the temple and take turns doing a session. Well, she needed her nap, so she fell asleep in my arms, then I laid her in the trunk! We parked in the corner of the parking lot on purpose, but people would still drive by and wonder what was wrong! One man asked if I was having car problems, and I said, "no, but look what I found in my trunk!" lol, jk.
Here's Maren trying on a winter hat. Why do they sell these here? It doesn't get that cold!
My mom came out for a week to play with us also! She rode down with my dad's sister who went south to meet up with a friend. We had a grand time relaxing, doing Disneyland, and going to the parks. Here we are in the tea-cups. It's nice living near DL, because I came home in the middle of the day to let Maren nap, then picked up Andy after work, and met back up with Ann and my mom at nighttime. They had their Christmas lights on, and fake snow! and really good hot chocolate that cost as much as dinner:)

We hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving this week. We have a lot to be grateful for!

What is there to blog about?

Not much new has been going down here lately.

The conference edition of the Ensign got here today. I HAVE TO immediately open it and look at all the cool pictures they chose to put with each talk. I love looking through that thing, and then reading it as time goes on. When I was in Oklahoma, I used to look at the conference pictures and think how blessed I was to live there, and actually attend in the conference center-but took it for granted. Now I have those same thoughts, living here in CA. Even some new members of the church, or members that haven't made it to Temple Square have no clue how big the church is, and what they do from the headquarters at Temple Square. We're such a minority in our area, which in turn lends itself to opportunities to talk about being LDS, and being watched in our actions and words and stuff.

The greatest part is, is that we're on the winning team! I always think that. The gospel will only increase and spread from here on out. If we're an active part in it, we're guaranteed to win.
So on other thoughts, my mom is coming out. WAHOO! And here's a picture while Andy is waiting for his car-pool to show. (We live 20 min. away from his work, but for some reason they think it only takes 10:) -so he waits:)
