Is that what you do?

Primary has been the biggest blessing for Maren.  I always know exactly what songs they sang during singing time by what she sings at home the rest of the day.  Right now during her nap time, she's singing these words, "Oh what do you do in the summertime, when all the world is HOT.  Do you swim in a pool, to keep yourself cool, is that what you do?  So do I."

There's something about songs that really connect with her.  She's on # 11 of the Articles of Faith because when something is put to music, she remembers it way easier than plain ol' words!  I think I'm the same way, and many of us are.

Lauren is a little sweetie lately.  Her phrases she uses are pretty funny lately: "I know", "WHY? Mommy, Why?", and "Jesus die Me".

Life is good, weather is hot, and Andy comes home tomorrow!

Vacation station!

We took a small road trip this weekend to meet Andy's parents and see my Grandpa in St. George!  The above picture has a story...the first and only time I saw this trick done was coming around the point of the mountain in South SL valley, and have never forgotten it since.  It's pretty awesome and the girls laughed.  I also made a sign to show people as we sped by that said, "Have a Great Day!"  People laughed and did many thumbs up and Andy blushed, but secretly loved it-sure of that:)  One person even made a sign back for us.

Here's Grandpa Iverson.  He's 95 and incredible.

Mark and Barbara were so sweet to do whatever the whole weekend.  We hiked and swam and played and ate.

The girls loved the red rock.

Okie dokie

Lately we've been trying to have more varied experiences during the week.  Our girlies do the best when we have variety, and I hate to be in ruts.  The girls hadn't been here since December, so we decided to go.  This is the LA visitor's center.  Every time Lauren sees a pic. of the temple, she says, "I go, I go". We can't say no to that:)

The missionaries(who are just trying to do their job), were trying to talk to us while we were in the Christus room, and I wanted to not, so we came back through at the end to have some quiet time, without having to respond.  Am I being too ornery?  Maybe!  I just wanted to watch and listen, not respond and converse.  I love the sisters though-of course:)

 

 

Andy built a deep planter box this time for our carrots, they've been great.

Here's Maren and her friend from school.  This is such a fun dress-up stage, one that is fading too quickly!

Here are the Young Women from our ward.  They are really neat.  Lately each one has had stories to tell about how they've either defended or explained the church to classmates.  They are strong, that's all I need to say.
